Implementation and evaluation

Implementation and evaluation of the strategic plan
The 2025-2030 strategic plan sets a clear direction for Norwegian football. Our ability to effectively implement and evaluate the strategy is crucial to achieving our goals. To succeed and deliver on this strategy, we must change the way we work over the next six years.
Within NFF's central administration and regional offices, we will work more purposefully to reach the well-defined goals outlined in the strategy. We will prioritise what matters most for Norwegian football, maintain transparency in our progress, clarify responsibilities, and foster collaboration and dialogue.
We achieve our best results when we have the right people in the right roles—people with passion, skills, and a commitment to making a difference. We need leaders who inspire with openness, curiosity, and warmth and who always put football, teamwork, and community at the centre. To meet future challenges, we must learn, grow, and acquire the necessary expertise to elevate Norwegian football to new heights.
We approach this work with curiosity and determination, ready to develop and improve every day. Together, we dare to try, fail, and learn from our mistakes—because we know that real progress comes from pushing our limits. This is how we find the best solutions for Norwegian football and build a stronger future for the entire football community.
Implementation
To turn the strategy into reality, we must work systematically and purposefully on execution. We will develop concrete, standardised action plans that apply to the entire organisation, both centrally and regionally. These action plans will clearly outline the strategy's goals, prioritised initiatives, and defined responsibilities and deadlines.
At the central level, department heads will be responsible for implementing the action plans within their departments, while at the regional level, the general managers will be responsible.
Updates
To keep the organisation and Norwegian football engaged and informed, we will provide continuous updates on the progress of our strategic work. Every six months, we will publish updates on fotball.no, highlighting what we have worked on, what we have achieved, and what remains. By making these updates a regular practice, we foster a culture of transparency, learning, and accountability.
Evaluation
Evaluation is a fundamental part of the strategy's implementation. It involves assessing whether we deliver on our goals and whether our initiatives have the desired impact. This process requires us to ask critical questions such as: "Are we achieving our objectives?" and "Do we need to adjust the strategy to address new challenges or opportunities?"
Through evaluation, we will also strengthen our learning culture. We will be curious about feedback, open to new solutions, and willing to adapt as needed.
